Time, according to the Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, is an appointed, fixed, or customary moment or hour for something to happen, begin, or end.The implications of this is that everything that must happen is time-bound. There is a time for which things must happen and a time for which it must end. In this article, I will be discussing the implications of time on five aspects of a man’s life about the things that he must or should make happen or should have been done.According to Ined Institut National D’estudes Demographiques, the average life expectancy for men in Europe and other parts of Europe as of 2022 is pegged between the average of 70-82. Conversely, the life expectancy in African countries as of 2023 is between 53.7 and 70, with Chad and Algeria being the lowest and highest respectively. Obviously, time is allotted to everything under the sun. There is a time to be born and a time to die. In between the birth date and the death date, certain crucial things must have been achieved. Otherwise, when such is not the case, one cannot be said to have lived well. So, here are five things a man must have achieved at the earliest time possible.1. Education It is often said that there is no specific time that a man could receive formal education. However, this submission is not accurate. How do you compare an old man of 72 who started attending primary school and a child of 2 years who is also enrolled in the same primary school. Their level of assimilation will never be the same. The young child has the advantage to learn things ten times faster than the old man who is susceptible to suffering from senescence, weakness and slow comprehension level. What this implies is that getting formal education is far better when the learner is still at his tender age than when he is fully grown.2. Marriage Early marriage for men is still better than marrying late. For instance, a man who got married in his twenties has the strength to take care of his children and watch them grow, compared to a man who married in his fifties. What strength does he have to be there when his children are growing up? Will he still have the strength to discipline them when they err, especially during their teenage years?3. Investments Early investment pays. There is a time to invest whether in properties, businesses or in one’s career. However, if that time lapses, it will be extremely difficult to get it back. It will require more energy and time which may not be at one’s disposal to achieve that feat. Additionally, when you invest early, it means that when you get old, you have something to fall back on. Compare that to investing when you are old. How long will your investment start yielding returns, especially when it is a long term investment? What time will you enjoy the dividends of your investment when you are already old?4. Acquiring or Owning Properties Perhaps, one could argue that acquiring properties could be done at any time. However, the caveat to this will be the strength you need to monitor them. Employing others to do it for you can not equate being able to do it by yourself especially when you are still very young.5. Responding To A Ministerial CallThose who responded to the call of God into ministry much earlier in their youthful age would have achieved quite a lot compared to those who entered into ministry when they are past their youthful age. The grounds they would cover can not be the same with those who entered into ministry much earlier.Conclusion Time is so crucial in a man’s life. When the time to achieve certain things or to become something is missed, getting it back will require more energy and time than is necessary. Every man must therefore be conscious of time in relation to their life’s purpose by adhering to the points shared above.
