No marriage can survive without love. Love too cannot sustain marriage without money. Love and money must move together. The worst in every woman can come to manifest when the man of the house is moneyless. Even when there is love in the marriage, the absence of money will cause a lot of problems. Love is described as a feeling of deep affection especially among two people who share common ties. Wikipedia describes money as: 

Any item or verifiable record that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts, such as taxes, in a particular country or socio- economic context.

Knowing these two facts about love and money will help you brace yourself up as a man in making sure that both are not lacking in your marriage.

Being financially stable as a man before contracting a marriage to a woman is key. Above all, you must understand that money alone does not keep a woman. A woman could leave a man with a lot of wealth and join herself to a poor man who is rich in affection.

She doesn’t mind spending her money on him so long as she gets undivided attention and affection from him. Many men make the mistake of thinking that women are only interested in their money. However, the goings on in the society has proven this to be false.

Many women married to well-to -do men of the society have been caught in compromising positions with other men who are nowhere near their husband’s financial stamina. 

Why does this keep happening? The answer is not far-fetched, most, if not all of these women are starved of affection and attention. What must you do as a man to ensure you are not guilty of lack of love towards your wife nor guilty of poverty.

1. Increase your financial power

As a man hoping to get married someday or already married, you must increase your financial power if you are not doing so. One sure way of doing this is having multiple streams of income. One quicker route to this is acquiring relevant skills that are in tandem with the demands of the corporate world. It is on rare occasions that women reject  men who are financially stable. No woman wants to suffer, no matter how much she is in love with a man. 

2. Choose rightly 

Once you miss it in marriage, by marrying the wrong woman, you may be doomed for life whether or not you are financially stable. So, as a man, you must give it all it takes to choose rightly if you are not yet married, the kind of woman you eventually get married to. Many men have had their lives cut short as a result of their martial choices. Having money or being financially stable does not guarantee success in marriage.  

3. Be intentional about your love

When you truly love a woman, it will show in the way you relate with her. Showing love to a woman is one sure way of retaining her. Besides this, be generous with your money with her. Don’t be a stingy man to your wife. Let her challenges be your challenges and her triumphs, your triumphs. When she knows that you are there for her, she will be completely sold out to you.

Though, love should be the foundation for marriage. Money also has a crucial role to play in marriage. With it you rent an apartment, provide for your wife and children if you have any, sort medical bills and other miscellaneous expenses.
