How To Choose A Wife

How To Choose A Wife

Perhaps, one of the most difficult things for a man is choosing a wife. It is not like choosing a cloth to wear from your wardrobe. What makes this decision difficult is the delicate nature of it. If you choose the wrong cloth, you can quickly change it. But if you choose the wrong woman, even if you want to change it, it will cost you all forms of pain. This is the reason why the rate of divorce all over the world is at an all-time high. How do you then choose a wife? Should it be about her looks? Should it be by her academic achievements or qualifications? Or should it be about her character or the family she belongs to?

Are you confused about choosing a wife that will journey with you throughout your lifetime? In this article, I will be sharing with you six-time tested ways to choose a wife.

1. Know yourself and what you want

The first principle involved in choosing a wife is first to know yourself. What kind of a man are you? What are those things you can comfortably live with? What are those things that easily piss you off? Knowing all these will help you to choose a woman that is akin to you and your lifestyle. You can’t be a reserved man who is opposed to relating with people or being social and then you end up with a wife who cherishes all these things. If you are not able to balance these differences, there will be conflicts in your home.

2. Why do you want a wife?

If your reason for wanting a wife is to fulfill your sexual fantasies, then you are not ready for marriage. If you need a wife simply for her to cook your meals and do all your laundry, you are not yet ready for marriage. You can hire a maid to do that. However, if your reason to have a wife is to have a companion who can complement you in your life’s purpose and someone who you can help to achieve all that she was created for. Then, you have a clear goal of desiring marriage to a woman. This is one sure guide in choosing a wife.

3. Choose character, not looks

Beauty can be deceptive. A beautiful woman does not equate a woman of character and sound judgment. Using beauty to determine who to marry is a gross mistake. This is because by the time she starts making babies, gradually, her beauty will start to fade. She will begin to lose that ‘killer figure’ you could die for when you first met her. When this happens, will you send her parking or marry a second wife? A woman’s character is more important than her looks. If a home is to be at peace, a woman’s good character is crucial. The lack of it is the frustration of such a man. A woman lacking character will turn a man against his family and his friends. I understand that something must attract you to a woman. However, let it not be about her beauty alone.

4. Is she supportive?

A good way to choose a wife is if she is supportive. Is she concerned about the well-being of others? Does she put herself as part of your dreams and aspirations? Or does she make demands without contributing anything? How does she react when you don’t give her what she is asking for? If you notice that the woman you are courting is guilty of the last two questions, then it is time to change gear. If you make the mistake of marrying such a woman, you will have yourself to blame.

5. Does she take to corrections?

If you have to repeatedly correct a woman all the time over the same misdemeanor, this is a clear sign that she is not the type that takes corrections and so, don’t marry her.

6. Prayer

Prayer is essential in choosing a wife. You need to pray about the woman you are planning to woo, courting or even planning to marry. The importance of prayer can not be overlooked. The fact that prayer changes things is the reason you should pray regarding the woman to marry.

Conclusion

Being alone is not good, having a wife is far better. However, the type of woman you marry can either elongate your life or shorten it. So, if you want to prolong your life, choose wisely the woman to marry by following the points shared above.
