The saying, “Health is wealth”, means that health is the biggest wealth anybody can have. It is a fundamental asset you should strive to have. If a man has good health, there is no limit to the things he can achieve for himself and his family, if he has one. So, in this article, I will be exploring five benefits of good health for men.

Health does not only mean absence of disease, it includes mental well-being, financial health, and even spiritual health. There is no amount of wealth that can replace health. Many wealthy men are in the best hospitals across the world envying those who are not as rich as they are but who enjoy perfect health. This to emphasize the importance of good health. Having wealth without health is just like having a fine house that does not have a roof. Anyone who sleeps in such a house is at the mercy of the elements.

Now that you know the importance of good health, it is important you do everything possible to have good health. Remember, good health doesn’t just jump on you, you have to chase after it. One way to ensure good health is to engage in regular workout. Engaging in regular exercise will keep you fit, burn out excess fats and renew your energy.

Take Time out to Rest Well

Working is good, you earn through working. However, working smart will include taking enough time to rest. Resting well will make you regain lost energy, will keep you fresh and revitalized.

Prioritize Your health

If you neglect your health, you’re putting yourself in harm’s way. Some men believe that since they hardly fall sick, they are okay. This assumption is very costly. A lot of men who seemed okay health wise have collapsed and have been added to the number in the morgue. They died untimely because they neglected their health by not going to the hospital for a medical checkup.

Imagine if you’re a soldier who is constantly falling sick, you’re of no use to your commander. Rather than helping to contribute positively to the military, you become a burden and a liability. Only healthy soldiers go to war, the sick ones stay behind or are dismissed.

“One apple a day keeps the doctor away”. This witty statement has deep truth in it. Eating healthy and being healthy will save you from spending unnecessary time treating a particular illness. Even when you go to the hospital, it will be to do a check up and not to go under the scalpel of the surgeon. In other words, good health saves your money.

There is no better wealth than good health. Healthy men are wealthy men irrespective of their financial capacity. If you have been neglecting your health, this is the time to turn a new leaf. Eat well, rest well, prioritize your health and engage in regular exercise. If you do these, you will have good health.
